Legenda ka\u017ee da ga je Tesalijanac Filonikos ponudio kralju Filipu II za nevjerovatnih 13 talenata, ali niko nije mogao ukrotiti njegov divlji duh. Mladi Aleksandar, primijetiv\u0161i da je konj samo upla\u0161en vlastitom sjenom, okrenuo ga je prema suncu kako bi ga umirio. Kad je kralj Filip to vidio, poznato je da je izjavio: \u201cO sinu moj, potra\u017ei kraljevstvo koje je jednako tebi i dostojno tebe, jer je Makedonija premala za tebe!\u201d<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Od boji\u0161ta do besmrtnosti<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Bucefal je pratio Aleksandra tokom cijele njegove kampanje od Gr\u010dke do srca Indije. Nosio je svog gospodara kroz najkrvavije okr\u0161aje, od Granika i Isusa do Gaugamele i Bitke na rijeci Hidaspes. Godine 326. pr. n. e., tokom indijske kampanje, umro je ili od ranjavanja u bitci ili od starosti (u dobi od gotovo 30 godina). U njegovu \u010dast, Aleksandar je osnovao grad Aleksandrija Bucefala na obalama rijeke D\u017ehelum u dana\u0161njem Pakistanu.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Kulturno naslije\u0111e<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>U historiji umjetnosti i knji\u017eevnosti, Bucefal se smatra simbolom mo\u0107i, odanosti i o\u0161trog instinkta. U isto\u010dnim tradicijama, gdje se Aleksandar \u010desto naziva \u201cIskandar\u201d, Bucefal je prikazan kao odani saputnik obdaren natprirodnim osobinama.
