L'article de 1999 d'Orhan G\u00fcnsav, antic fiscal en cap de l'Estambul i president durant vint anys de la Federaci\u00f3 Turca d'Escacs, detalla la dram\u00e0tica hist\u00f2ria de com aquest joc va arribar a Turquia.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><b>La hist\u00f2ria del conjunt:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> L'article relata la dura c\u00e0rrega emocional que els escacs van suposar per a Chigorin, especialment despr\u00e9s d'una derrota desgarradora contra Steinitz el 1892. En un moment de desesperaci\u00f3, Chigorin va cremar els seus jocs d'escacs al seu jard\u00ed. Nom\u00e9s en va salvar un de especial: un regal del tsar rus.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La hist\u00f2ria del conjunt espec\u00edfic exposat continua amb Selim Palavan, el primer campi\u00f3 d'escacs de Turquia. La fam\u00edlia de Palavan, que eren turcs de Kazan que vivien a R\u00fassia, va sobreviure a la revoluci\u00f3 sense patir cap mal. El 1912, els van regalar una fotografia hist\u00f2rica de Chigorin juntament amb un joc d'escacs encarregat pel tsar en la seva mem\u00f2ria. Durant la Segona Guerra Mundial, quan la guerra va arribar a Odessa, la fam\u00edlia es va traslladar a Romania i finalment va arribar a Istanbul el 1943, portant amb si el joc hist\u00f2ric.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anys m\u00e9s tard, Selim Palavan va desenvolupar un vincle profund amb H. Serta\u00e7 Dalk\u0131ran. Traducint directament de l'article d'Orhan G\u00fcnsav, descriu com el conjunt va canviar de mans:<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cA causa del seu estil de joc i del seu gran esfor\u00e7 per als escacs al nostre pa\u00eds, Palavan considerava Dalk\u0131ran el \u2018Chigorin de Turquia\u2019.
