Alquerque, detallado en sus p\u00e1ginas, es la evoluci\u00f3n europea de un antiguo juego de estrategia conocido en el mundo \u00e1rabe como \u201cEl-Qirkat\u201d, cuyas ra\u00edces se remontan al antiguo Egipto. En la Espa\u00f1a del siglo XIII, Alquerque fue un testimonio de la colaboraci\u00f3n entre eruditos cristianos, musulmanes y jud\u00edos para unir el conocimiento de Oriente con el de Occidente.<\/p><p><b>El camino hacia las damas<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span>Alquerque es el lugar de nacimiento de la mec\u00e1nica de \u201ccaptura a saltos\u201d, que es la regla central de las damas modernas. A finales del siglo XV, cuando estas reglas din\u00e1micas se trasladaron al tablero de ajedrez de 8\u00d78, naci\u00f3 el juego de \u201cDamas\u201d tal y como lo conocemos hoy.
