En lugar dunha modificaci\u00f3n posterior, estas pezas foron producidas na orixe para ser neutras en canto a s\u00edmbolos. Foron levadas a Turqu\u00eda por inmigrantes turcos de Bulgaria e pronto se converteron nunha peza fundamental da Asociaci\u00f3n de Xadrez de Estambul (\u0130SD) despois de 1965.
