Nesa \u00e9poca, a \u201cc\u201d (ante \u201ce\u201d) e a \u201cx\u201d empreg\u00e1banse para capturar foneticamente o son \u201csh\u201d herdado do \u00e1rabe <i data-path-to-node=\"4,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"234\">Xadrez<\/i>.<\/p><\/li><li><p data-path-to-node=\"4,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"4,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Xadrez (O s\u00e9culo XV):<\/b> Coa evoluci\u00f3n da lingua, ese son \u201csh\u201d trasladouse ao moderno e gutural \u201cj\u201d (o <i data-path-to-node=\"4,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"112\">xota<\/i>). O cambio mec\u00e1nico: \u201cEl Viejo\u201d vs. \u201cDe la Dama\u201d<\/b><\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"1\">Mentres o nome fon\u00e9tico cambiaba, as regras estaban a experimentar unha expansi\u00f3n revolucionaria de poder que alterou por completo o ritmo da partida. Esta transici\u00f3n def\u00ednese mellor polos dous sistemas descritos na obra de Lucena de 1497:<\/p>\n\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"2\">\n \t<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"2,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"2,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">O Vello (O Cami\u00f1o Vello):<\/b> Isto representa as regras medievais tradicionais do Acedrex, onde o xogo era unha loita posicional lenta. Neste sistema, a peza que agora chamamos Dama era a Alferza (o conselleiro do Rei), que estaba restrinxida a mover s\u00f3 unha casa en diagonal. Simultaneamente, o Alfil tradicional estaba limitado a saltar exactamente d\u00faas casas en diagonal, brincando por riba doutras pezas.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n \t<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"2,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"2,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Da Dama (O xeito moderno):<\/b> Este \u201cnovo\u201d estilo de xogo transformou o xadrez nun enfrontamento \u201cr\u00e1pido, t\u00e1ctico e explosivo\u201d. Baixo estas regras, o pe\u00f3n substitu\u00eduse pola \u201cDama\u201d, que ga\u00f1ou alcance ilimitado en todas as direcci\u00f3ns. Mentres que o \u201cLibro de los Juegos (1283)\u201d do rei Alfonso X introduciu por primeira vez o movemento da diagonal ilimitada mediante unha peza espec\u00edfica chamada Crocodilo (<i data-path-to-node=\"0\" data-index-in-node=\"298\">Cocodrilo<\/i>), o nome \u201cAlfil\u201d non se volveu aplicar a este movemento no xogo est\u00e1ndar de 8\u00d78 ata finais do s\u00e9culo XV.<\/p>\n\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"1\"><b data-path-to-node=\"1\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">1. O \u201cCocodrilo\u201d no Libro de Alfonso (1283)<\/b><\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"2\">No \u201cLibro de los Juegos\" de Afonso X<i data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"15\">\u201c<\/i>, o alfil est\u00e1ndar segu\u00eda a ser a peza medieval tradicional que saltaba exactamente dous cadros en diagonal. Con todo, Alfonso inclu\u00edu unha variante ampliada de 12\u00d712 chamada \u201cGrande Acedrex<b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"199\">\u201c<\/b> (Gran Xadrez), que presentaba unha peza nova chamada \u201cCocodrilo\u201d (<i data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"278\">Cocodrilo<\/i>).<\/p>\n\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"3\">\n \t<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"3,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">O movemento:<\/b> O cocodrilo mov\u00edase exactamente como a peza moderna: desliz\u00e1ndose calquera distancia ao longo de diagonais sen obst\u00e1culos.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n \t<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"3,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">A inspiraci\u00f3n:<\/b> Os historiadores vinculan este nome a un famoso agasallo diplom\u00e1tico: un crocodilo vivo enviado polo sult\u00e1n de Exipto a Alfonso X en 1260, como parte dunha proposta de matrimonio para a filla do rei. Un modelo de madeira a tama\u00f1o real deste crocodilo, co\u00f1ecido como o \u201cLagarto\"<i data-path-to-node=\"3,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"198\">\u201c<\/i>, a\u00ednda hoxe colga na Catedral de Sevilla.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"4\"><b data-path-to-node=\"4\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">2. O cambio a \u201cAlfil\u201d no s\u00e9culo XV<\/b><\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">O nome \u201cAlfil\u201d utilizouse oficialmente para o movemento diagonal ilimitado no xogo est\u00e1ndar de 8\u00d78 tras a \u201cReforma Valenciana\u201d arredor de 1475.<\/p>\n\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"6\">\n \t<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"6,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Xadrez de amor (c. 1475):<\/b> Este poema valenciano \u00e9 a primeira obra literaria que describe as regras modernas do xadrez. Exp\u00f3n explicitamente que esta peza ten un \u201cpapel m\u00e1is din\u00e1mico\u201d, mov\u00e9ndose tantos cadros como puidese en diagonal. No poema, estas pezas xa se denominan \u201calfils\u201d (en valenciano\/catal\u00e1n), o que ilustra que o nome se trasladou do antigo \u201csaltador\u201d ao novo \u201cdeslizador\u201d durante este per\u00edodo.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n \t<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"6,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Libro dos xogos e partidas de xadrez (1495):<\/b> Escrito por Francesc Vicent, este libro perdido consid\u00e9rase o primeiro tratado de xadrez moderno. Cr\u00e9ese que estandarizou o nome \u201cAlfil\u201d para o novo movemento en toda a Pen\u00ednsula Ib\u00e9rica.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"7\"><b data-path-to-node=\"7\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">3.
