Dapat diasumsikan bahwa melalui hubungan ini, budaya kedai kopi Austria dan set catur umum yang disebut gaya Wina Coffee House juga menemukan jalannya ke Kerajaan Rumania selatan, di mana set ini digunakan pada tahun-tahun awal abad ke-20. Set ini terbuat dari kayu yang dibubut, satu sisi alami, dan sisi lainnya dilapisi pernis hitam. Ini menunjukkan beberapa fitur desain yang sama dengan set Wina yang disebutkan di atas, khususnya mahkota ratu, yang berbentuk seperti topi, uskup dengan kepala berbentuk bola dengan warna yang berlawanan atau benteng yang kokoh. Yang menarik khususnya adalah bentuk raja yang tidak biasa, mahkota yang di sisi atas menyempit menjadi finial memanjang yang diatapi bola kecil, hampir seolah-olah pion kecil berada di atas mahkota raja. Set ini menunjukkan beberapa tanda penggunaan yang intensif. Beberapa bagian tampaknya telah diganti, namun hal ini tidak mengurangi kesan keseluruhan.
