Non si tratta di una modifica successiva, ma di pezzi prodotti alla fonte per essere privi di simboli. Furono portati in Turchia da immigrati turchi provenienti dalla Bulgaria e divennero rapidamente un punto fermo dell'Associazione scacchistica di Istanbul (\u0130SD) dopo il 1965.
