Potrebbe essere pi\u00f9 di una coincidenza che uno degli autori del Kitab ash-Shatranj fosse Al-Adli Ar-Rumi, noto come il primo campione mondiale di scacchi. Rumi rappresenta l'Impero Romano e proviene dalle terre romane.
