Queste figurine dettagliate forniscono uno sguardo figurativo sulle radici dell'Asia centrale del gioco: la Torre \u00e8 rappresentata come un carro con pi\u00f9 cavalli, il cavaliere \u00e8 raffigurato come un cavaliere con uno scudo e Alfil, un elefante, insieme a diversi pedoni. Plasmati dall'artigianato norreno, questi pezzi con i loro re ansiosi, le regine contemplative e i berserker che mordono gli scudi riflettono la gerarchia sociale e la psiche dell'Europa medievale.
