Questi set incarnano l'epoca in cui gli scacchi migrarono dalle corti reali al cuore intellettuale dell'Europa, adornando i tavoli di filosofi, scienziati e rivoluzionari. Per tutto il XVIII secolo e gran parte del XIX, questo design ha rappresentato il linguaggio universale del gioco, testimoniando le mosse strategiche di menti che hanno cambiato il corso della storia, come Napoleone Bonaparte, Benjamin Franklin e Voltaire.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In quest'epoca, quando il grande maestro Fran\u00e7ois-Andr\u00e9 Danican Philidor forn\u00ec al gioco una base teorica moderna dichiarando che <\/span><b>\u201cI pedoni sono l'anima degli scacchi\u201d.\u201d<\/b> le linee slanciate, graduate e architettoniche dei pezzi R\u00e9gence divennero la firma visiva di questa rivoluzione intellettuale.
