Te podrobne figurice slikovito prikazujejo srednjeazijske korenine te igre, saj je na njih lopar upodobljen kot voz z ve\u010d konji, vitez kot konjenik s \u0161\u010ditom in Alfil na slonu skupaj z ve\u010d figurami pe\u0161akov. Te figure, oblikovane z nordijsko obrtjo, s svojimi zaskrbljenimi kralji, kontemplativnimi kraljicami in berserkerji, ki grizejo \u0161\u010dite, odra\u017eajo dru\u017ebeno hierarhijo in psiho srednjeve\u0161ke Evrope.
